Financial Management of Your Project
  • Yes. A project creator has the option to cancel funding. When funding is canceled, all pledges are immediately voided but project creators and supporters can continue to post on the project page.

  • Yes. Projects continue to accept pledges until the funding deadline. There is no option to end a project early.

  • You will not receive any money. Neither will you have any fees to pay. Supporters to your project are not charged. iFundArts will provide you with the contact information of the people that supported you so that you can thank them and contact them at a later time to solicit their support again (for a new project). However, if a project meets 50% of the target, one is allowed an extension of a month. If you get to 70% you get the money. If the target is below 50%, a shift of that percentage will be suggested to the next selected project.

  • There are simple reasons for this. Project creators are not expected to develop their project without necessary funds. It allows projects to be tested without risk, so it is less risky for everyone, yourself and your supporters. If you do not receive the support you need, you are likely not going to complete it. So, people who want to see a project come to life will need to make an effort and spread the word. It is a better guarantee for project completion.

  • Nothing! If funding is not successful, there are no charges.

  • You will receive your funds through your individual online UMVA Kreatives account. You can then cash your funds at any of the connected financial institutions.

  • If a project is successfully funded, a 15% commission is applied to the total funds collected by way of contribution to sustain the iFundArts website and platform.

  • Yes, but these donations have to be validated. If you received outside donations that you would like to apply towards your funding goal? Send an e-mail to info@umvakreative.com and attach a copy or a screenshot of the cheque or the bank transfer specifying the name, postal address, email address, and reward of your supporter. We will then be able to validate the support and add the amount to your campaign.

  • This depends on your legal status and the local legislation of the country from where you are operating and the rewards you are offering (whether they are considered purchases or not). Usually, tax authorities require that any type of income must be declared, where it comes from while individuals and non-profits are often VAT exempted. But, make sure that you are operating in accordance with the law when declaring income obtained through iFundArts.
